We arrived to the northeast part of Patagonia, to the small town. It was a gorgeous day, and was warm but not too hot. We had scheduled a zodiac excursion for the afternoon, so we got off to wander around the town and see the sights.

There were a lot of huge jellyfish in the water, but I didn’t get an answer as to how dangerous they are. We were told that they showed up a couple years ago when the water warmed up 1 degree Celsius. It’s a nice place with a lot of construction happening. I had hoped to see a penguin, and a few folks did, but I’ll have to wait until we get further south.

We went out in the zodiac to see some wildlife, and came across a most incredible feeding frenzy with dolphins, birds and sea lions all taking part. The sea looked like it was boiling and the dolphins were really putting on a show!

Today we were going to Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands, but the wind and weather are too bad for anchoring and port Tenders. So we are at sea on a cold rainy windy day, and will have to visit the Falkland Islands at another time.
